a bad hair day

‘ve often heard that you can’t eat your cake and have it. Now, i’m not on a mission to argue that out, cos i can bet there are peeps out there ready to prove me wrong, you can as well have it up for sale if you so desire! i can almost hear them say.

It’s a Sunday afternoon, i’ve been to church but not for long, you see, truth is, i seem to be getting tired of church, now i’m not shy to say that cos i heard something sometime last week ‘If you aren’t tired of church yet, then you probably aren’t ready or hungry for something new yet so satisfying, fresh fire…’ that’s an aside anyway, topic for another day.
I realise i have so much to do today and there’s little or no time for frivolities.
How would you like to slide into a pool on a sunny Sunday afternoon as today (yes, i started writing this on Sunday!) Ever seen a cockroach dancing before a hen or chicken??  won’t be long before the latter makes a clean sweep of the former! Short of saying, i couldn’t just eat my cake and have it!
oops! the day’s almost spent and my hair’s not made, it may be a bad hair week afterall! i shall most likely be ‘wigging it through’.

now it’s five days after, it’s Friday; i’ve never felt this disappointed in a while, i narrowly missed (or missed narrowly, cos i did miss it, not like i was kind of lucky!) a deadline during the week, just about a minute delay. It was so painful cos i put in so much in terms of time, effort and everything u can think of.
What made the pain so excrutiating was the fact that, what i tried but failed to do in 30mins, i thenafter did in seconds – who would have thought attaching a file could be that troublesome? On second thought, it might just be that i was dull of hearing cos the following morning, I got to my desk and found this staring me in the face – “If your plans have failed, ask yourself if there’s a better plan waiting to be discovered” there had better be one! Now i’m asking myself :-)

Nice weekend y’all!

  1. God talks to us in diverse ways. He uses our pains for His own Gains. As refinedone said in the earlier post, purpose might be fulfilled after going through such a process if well-handled.

    All the best!

  2. Concur on church.
Deadlines, hmmm….. do i always meet them?
Not exactly but then, have hardly had serious
issues not meeting them too. Just like now,
’tis 11.10am & ought to put in a drawing (design)
    for 12noon, but, what ‘m i doing…..?
    Probably continue 20mins to….
On a lighter note, work done in a short time
seems to be less stressful, and usually comes
out well. Agreesth thou with me?

  3. well, so many time one fails to meet deadlines ‘cos computers/machines do mess one up.

i think one need to gather information on time and plan well to meet the timeframe. Am guilty of this action too. For instance, a report that needs to take a day or two, stretch to a week! why? because i dont have the necessary info and no proper planning or steps to achieve the task.

For church, i accept a bit. Don’t take me to be a “religious person”, am not any more.

  4. Guess you should have updated 2days ago? Howdy?

  5. ”…hungry for something new yet so satisfying, fresh fire…’ that’s an aside anyway, topic for another day…”

Umm would be expecting more on this really soon. Kech had been around from the UK and we had planned to visit the family house but it didn’t work out. I was really looking forward to being back there cuz gurl…there was some serious fiery fire moments. It would have been like going back to the old landmark. Would always remember people like pa aye and victor who i had the opportunity to listen to on one of the few occasions i was in Osogbo.

In recent times i’ve been hungry and praying for one more glorious worship service…where the anointing would be so strong that the ‘priest’ would be unable to minister…one more…one more…

  6. thanks rethots, not two days ago apparently!

    Tim, we’ll get to talk.
